Click here for a picture of NRG’s 3rd Street front door. The plant is located underneath 3rd Street North of Washington Street. The front door is a stairwell exit. There is a call button on the right side. The building you see in the back of the picture is Symphony Hall.

Some requirements for the tour from NRG:

1. This is an operating plant. All persons must have closed toed shoes. No high heels, no flip flops, etc. Everyone must be wearing full length pants. No shorts, dresses or cut offs. NRG will provide hard hats, safety glasses and hearing protection. NRG Safety rules will apply.

2. Everyone should arrive on time. We want everyone signed in and ready to listen by 11:30 AM. You should meet and gather your group at the top door entry. Once we start the tour there will not be anyone to let late people into the plant.

3. We will meet in the control room for discussion first, I will explain what you are going to see and some information about our other plants. Then proceed through the plant and end up back in the control room for some question time.

Lunch is not part of this tour, but there are many options available within a short distance of the site.
