BOMA seeking candidates for 2026 Board of Directors
The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Greater Phoenix is now accepting applications for its Board of Directors election. This is an opportunity for members to help steer the organization’s future and strengthen the commercial real estate industry in the Valley.
As a leading voice for advocacy, knowledge sharing, and professional development, BOMA Greater Phoenix is committed to ensuring its leadership reflects the diversity, expertise, and dedication of its membership.
Members who are interested in serving should bring a strong professional background in commercial real estate or allied industries (property management, facility services, building ownership, engineering, etc.) along with demonstrated leadership ability and a commitment to advancing BOMA’s mission through advocacy, influence, and education. The Board also emphasized the time commitment to actively participate in board meetings, committees, and strategic planning initiatives annually and monthly.
Elected board members will serve a term of two years, with the expectation of participating in regular monthly board meetings, committee work, and organizational events. Members will help set strategic priorities, support member services, guide advocacy efforts, and contribute to industry thought leadership.
The Board of Directors Nomination Application was sent to members last week with a deadline of Friday, September 19. Members should check their e-mail or reach out to the BOMA office for more information. The Nomination Committee will interview candidates and present the slate of applicants for the members to vote on during October. Details with voting procedures will be sent to members via e-mail.
With the commercial real estate industry facing rapid shifts — including evolving sustainability expectations, regulatory changes, workforce and infrastructure challenges, and post-pandemic recovery — strong, engaged leadership is more critical than ever. New board members will help BOMA Greater Phoenix advocate effectively for policies and regulations that support property owners, managers, and developers, provide timely education and resources to help members stay ahead of industry trends and foster partnerships and networking among stakeholders to drive innovation and resilience
